Drew and Jonathan Scott got sentimental via social media as their parents celebrated a major relationship milestone.
The Property Brothers stars’ parents, Jim and Joanne Scott, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary via social media on Thursday, June 11. “Some of my fave pics of mom and dad. Happy 60th anniversary! I have lots to learn from them,” Drew captioned an Instagram slideshow of photos of his parents from over the years. “I love their shared sense of adventure, dedication to family, seeing them laugh together. I owe it all to their love.”
Among the post’s photos were throwback snaps of the couple during the early days of their relationship, as well as a more recent pic of the two. “Happy Anniversary!!! A wonderful story!” one fan commented underneath the post. Another added, “Happy Anniversary Mr. & Mrs Scott.” Someone else told Drew, “Wow! You really resemble your Dad!”
A different person posted, “Happy Anniversary to your beautiful mom and dad!” A separate commenter stated, “And lucky parents to have children who appreciate them.”
Jonathan commemorated his parents’ anniversary in an Instagram tribute of his own. “It fills me with so much joy to celebrate the 60 year wedding anniversary of the two people who taught me about love,” he wrote on Thursday. “What an inspiration. @zooeydeschanel and I have some serious catching up to do.” (Jonathan has been engaged to Zooey Deschanel since 2023.)
Like Drew, Jonathan shared both old and new photos of their parents, including several snaps from their wedding day. While Jim sported a black tux for the big day, Joanne opted for a blue blazer and matching skirt rather than a white wedding dress.
“How wonderful!! Happy 60th anniversary Mr and Mrs Scott! They have done well in raising fine men @propertybrothers,” one fan gushed in the post’s comments. Another said, “Happy 60th anniversary to a beautiful couple.”
Someone else wrote, “Happy 60th wedding anniversary! What a milestone anniversary! I wish many many more.” A different user shared, “Happy 60th Anniversary Jim and Joanne Scott! You are the most wonderful Mom and Dad ever.”
Drew and Jonathan are the youngest of their parent’s three children, including older brother J.D. Scott. The twins documented the renovation of their parents’ Los Angeles home in November 2024 episodes of Don’t Hate Your House With the Property Brothers. Jim and Joanne relocated from Canada to the U.S. to be closer to their kids and their respective families.
“They’re leaving their dreams,” Drew told People of the move at the time. “Up in the Rocky Mountains, they had this killer view. They’ve lived their whole lives there — 60 years they’ve been together. This has been where they first met, and where they were before they moved down here.”
He added, “We couldn’t have them move down here to be closer to family and hate where they live.”
