HGTV star Jasmine Roth revealed the “most ridiculous” project she’s ever done — and it was also “possibly the hardest.”
On August 14, the Roast My Rental star posted a video on Instagram of herself showing the unique spaceship-inspired rental in Joshua Tree, California. “I have to show you guys the most ridiculous project I’ve ever worked on. And that’s saying something,” she said to the camera. “Possibly the hardest, too.”
She then panned to the orange alien ship, explaining, “This is a short-term rental. It’s called the Futuro, and we are out here. Crazy. Keep you guys posted.”
Meanwhile, HGTV posted a video via Instagram of Roth’s Roast My Rental costar Leslie Jones checking out the rental before the renovation.
“I got to go sleep in this spaceship,” the comedian declared in the clip.
As the stairway slowly opened, she took her first glimpse inside and admitted, “OK, I’m confused. This is the whole rental?”
Jones continued, “I mean, I understand the concept. But this should be in the back of the house, and if you want to come kick it here, you can. I’m not sitting on none of these couches because I might get pregnant. How do you cook anything? Where do you sleep?”
After pointing out that it was “really hot” and calling out gaps in the flooring, she exasperatedly exclaimed, “Nobody wants to be in here!”
Judging by the updated photos on the Area 55 Futuro’s booking website, it looks like Roth and her team did a fantastic job on the project. Check out the video she posted of the “after” tour!
