Hoda Kotb Hangs With Ex-Fiancé
Hoda and her ex-fiancé, Joel, met all the way back in 2013. They met when Hoda was at a Wall Street event as a speaker, and Joel was attending as just an audience member. The pair met and exchanged numbers. They ended up dating publicly for a couple of years before finally going public with their love in 2015. It was a very long time to keep the relationship a secret.
In 2017, Hoda started the process of adopting children. Her first daughter is named Haley, and her second daughter, Hope, was adopted in 2019, the same year she and Joel got engaged. While the couple didn’t end up staying together, they did consider the girls to be both of theirs. So, they have continued to be co-parents to the two girls.
Now, they are celebrating an exciting day together – the first day of school. Haley is now in 4th grade, and Hope is in 2nd. Of course, Hoda took to Instagram to share sweet photos from the day.
“It’s here! First day of school💥. 4th and 2nd grade! Whaaaatttt?” she writes in the caption.
The first couple of pictures show the family walking down the street together. The final picture is all four family members standing together, smiling for the camera.
Praising The Co-Parents
Needless to say, many people are impressed by Hoda’s ability to co-parent as she is. After all, it can be pretty tricky to work alongside someone you have history with. Fans were sure to praise her in the comments for just how well she’s doing.
