What To Know

  • Zillow posted an official listing for The Red Keep from Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon.
  • The listing features fun details about the iconic castle and playful references to the events of House of the Dragon‘s current season.
  • Season 3 of House of the Dragon recently saw Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) take over The Red Keep and claim her place on The Iron Throne.

The Game of Thrones universe is home to many memorable locations, but none quite as iconic as The Red Keep.

The famous castle lies in the heart of Westeros’ capital city, King’s Landing, and serves as the home of the land’s ruler — not to mention, it also houses one of the franchise’s most famous set pieces: The Iron Throne.

Fans don’t have to travel to Westeros to get a better glimpse inside the picturesque palace, as Zillow recently posted an official listing for the castle. “The Red Keep. Demand: True Claim,” the listing reads, noting that the castle’s address is “Aegon’s High Hill, King’s Landing, Crownlands, WS.”

Though the castle is currently “off the market,” it was listed by none other than Olivia Cooke‘s Alicent Hightower. The listing makes for a fun Easter egg, as it was Alicent who made way for Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) to take over The Red Keep and claim her rightful (not to some) place on The Iron Throne.

Listed as the castle’s former owners are Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney), Viserys Targaryen (Paddy Considine), and Jaehaerys Targaryen (Michael Carter).

Per the page, The Red Keep is comprised of 600K+ square feet, 48 beds, and one throne, and features access to amenities such as tunnels and dungeons, The Small Council Chamber, The Godswood, The Throne Room, and The Iron Throne itself.

“Once-in-a-generation opportunity to acquire this unique and prestigious property with commanding views over the Crownlands and Blackwater Bay,” the castle’s description reads. “Handsome main gates open into a charming outer courtyard where some previous light dragon damage can be easily rectified, or the discerning buyer may decide it adds to the character and choose to leave it in place.”

Speaking of The Throne Room, the description continues, “At the heart of this room is the ‘Iron Throne,’ a dazzling sculpture of molten steel that is sure to thrill your guests. (Prospective buyers should note the Throne comes with certain obligations including but not limited to: reigning over the Seven Kingdoms, defending the realm, upholding the Faith, and taking the tongue of those who speak treason. Further details on inquiry).”

The description hilariously references Alicent’s fondness for The Godswood, stating, “The current owner has used it as a place to quietly reflect on her many transgressions, but prospective buyers may wish to install a pizza oven or similar to take advantage of the pleasant aspect.”

'House of the Dragon' Season 3, Episode 2, HBO, aired June 28, 2026.

House of the Dragon Season 3 got off to a bloody start, as Rhaenyra’s eldest son, Jacaerys Velaryon (Harry Collett), was tragically killed during the action-packed Battle of the Gullet. With Aegon on the run and Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell) injured at Harrenhal, Rhaenyra officially claimed her title as Queen during Episode 2.

However, Rhaenyra quickly learned that leading the kingdom comes with a fair share of challenges during Episode 3 — which aired on Sunday, July 5 — particularly from her latest enemy, Ormund Hightower (James Norton).

House of the Dragon, Sundays, 9/8c, HBO, Streaming on HBO Max
