Fans are eager to watch the new season of The Summer I Turned Pretty which is streamed on Amazon Prime Video. Viewers got even more excited about the new season when they saw the new trailer on Wednesday. The tv show is based on author Jenny Han’s bestselling book series. One of the show stars Gavin Casalegno however is not rejecting the fact that the end could be changed for the tv series. This makes fans worry that they will not get the ending they expected.
Gavin Casalegno Loves Filming With Jenny
Gavin Casalegno who plays Jeremiah Fisher in the series opens up to US Weekly. Jenny allows Gavin and his cast members to feel comfortable, and safe and can let the creativity flow while filming The Summer I Turned Pretty.
“I try to keep it as real as possible in that regard. Obviously, I know where he ends up going and what ends up happening. But I don’t emphasize on that. Because I think [author and showrunner] Jenny [Han] writes it so well that I’m able to kind of get there naturally without having to force it a certain direction,”
A big thing Gavin likes about Jenny is that her writing and thought process is very comfortable for him. The actor feels as though she makes his job very easy.
In The Summer I Turned Pretty books, Belly is supposed to eventually find her way back to Conrad. She does have a relationship with Jeremiah that becomes pretty serious but, in the end, it was always Conrad. Fans will be crushed if that changes.
Jenny Han Reveals End Couple Could Change
Jenny Han spoke out saying that she could change the ending to this story.
“I really had to weigh what the fans are expecting with where the show is going creatively and find that balance, my priority has always been that I want fans of the book to feel really satisfied by the story we’re telling, but also for them to know that this is an adaptation in a new medium, so it’s not going to be exactly the same. I think those are sort of the two things that are always in my head. I don’t want to spoil too much but the books have been out for a while. You never know what could happen with the show. I was open minded going into it. I was considering a lot of different possibilities.”
Han made fans suspicious when she said changing the couple is a possibility after Season 1 of The Summer I Turned Pretty aired.
