What To Know

  • Jimmy Kimmel and Jon Stewart mocked President Trump’s UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House.
  • Kimmel compared it to a MAGA rally and called it a “violent birthday party.”
  • Stewart ridiculed the event for devaluing both combat sports and national dignity.

Late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Jon Stewart ripped into President Donald Trump‘s UFC Freedom 250 event on Monday (June 15), both comparing it to a Hooters.

“Speaking of MAGA rallies, we had a sporting event that didn’t bring people together this weekend,” Kimmel said on Monday’s edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live! “Donald Trump’s big violent birthday party, the UFC fight at the White House.”

The comedian said the event had “all the refinement and prestige of a Hooters at the Vatican,” adding that Trump “turned the White House into a Waffle House.”

“Historians are saying this is the first time in history an American president spent $60 million to publicly fellate himself,” Kimmel continued. “I would also add that Trump knocked down the east wing of the White House and wants a billion dollars because he needs to have a safe place to throw parties. Meanwhile, no problem throwing a giant 80th birthday cage match on the front lawn of the White House.”

After showing footage of one of the UFC fighters yelling from the Truman balcony, Kimmel quipped, “What a night. Like a mini January 6th.”

Stewart also blasted the event on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, saying, “What a god-awful mockery of an event that somehow managed to find a way to devalue both combat sports and our national dignity. Who even aired this embarrassing s***?!”

After realizing the event was streamed on Paramount+ (Comedy Central is owned by Paramount), Stewart mockingly backtracked, saying, “And what a fine event it was. Once again, the leaders of Paramount+ providing us all with incredible content at reasonable prices. I am proud to stand with the Paramount family and whatever shows they decide to either cancel or put on.”

“You know, the average American they don’t want their White House to stand for certain morals and values,” he added. “The regular people in this country want their president to live in a slightly more violent Hooters, or a slightly less violent Waffle House.”
