Despite her past in her cult-like family, Jinger Duggar is proving she is her own woman and can think for herself. The former reality television star was spotted with her youngest daughter, breaking one of the many rules her father, Jim Bob Duggar, had set for his family. A photo was taken of Jinger Duggar and her daughter when she blatantly ignored one of the strict rules she had followed for years.
The Duggar Family Rules
Jim Bob Duggar had a list of rules too long to count and too complicated to explain. Some of those rules included how his children could not kiss anyone they were dating until they were engaged. Only being able to “side hug” after an engagement was another rule Jinger Duggar and all of her other siblings had to endure growing up.
Jim Bob Duggar rules his wife and children with an iron fist. It was only after his children married and moved out of the family home they began to realize not all of his rules had to be followed to the letter. The adult children began thinking and making choices for themselves once they escaped the Duggar family and its rules.
The Rule Jinger Duggar Broke
Jinger Duggar was photographed in Los Angeles with her daughter, Evangeline, breaking one of Jim Bob Duggar’s rules. The two were spotted Baskin Robbins after having ice cream together. Jinger Duggar was wearing a pair of baggy brown pants and high heels.
In the Duggar home, Jim Bob Duggar women and girls were not allowed to wear pants. Jinger Duggar broke the strict dress code rule she had been forced to follow until she got married. She had been taught since she as young to dress modestly and to only wear dresses.
The Duggar family went as far as to include the dress code Jim Bob Duggar enforced in their book, Growing Up Duggar, which was released in 214. “We avoid low-cut, cleavage-showing, gaping or bare-shouldered tops and, when needed, we wear an undershirt,” the book read. “We try to make it a habit to always cover the top of our shirt with our hand when we bend over…don’t want play the peekaboo game with our neckline.”
His Rules Have Been Broken Before
This wasn’t the first time Jinger Duggar has broken her father’s dress code rule. She posted a photo of herself and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, on Instagram, revealing this rule being broken. It was Valentine’s Day and it showed the couple, cuddled up together, and Jinger Duggar wearing a tight pair of leather pants.

Jinger Duggar is not the first Duggar sibling to break their father’s rule. Josh Duggar was convicted for having child pornography. He is now in prison for his crime. Other Duggar children have broken other rules as well.
