Jodie Sweetin Opens Up About Terrifying Drive-By Shooting

Bob Saget had close relationships with all of his co-stars, especially Jodie Sweetin. The cast members in attendance at ’90s Con took part in a Q&A panel. Jodie Sweetin opened up about trying to explain to her mom why they returned home late from a concert.

“I remember a Janet Jackson concert with Bob. We were parked outside of Edge of Epics going to that Janet Jackson concert,” Jodie Sweetin shared at the fan convention, according to PEOPLE magazine. “And I walked back out to the car….and we were sitting in the car and like the window exploded. We were like, ‘Oh!”

She continued, “Then we had to wait for two station wagon taxis because this is pre-Uber, to come and get us and we were late. And then Bob had to drive me home and explain to my mom what happened. So between that and the Laugh Factory, Bob was not always my mom’s favorite.”

Jodie Sweetin clarified exactly what happened. “It was a drive-by. It was back in the late ‘80s, early ‘90s. I leaned over to tie my shoes and it’s just like ‘pop pop pop’ and the whole thing shattered.”

Luckily, she had Bob Saget there to protect her. She told the crowd that her beloved co-star would have that people still talk about him. “Bob’s just glad we’re all still talking about him. Really, truly. Bob just loves to know that he’s still the main topic of conversation.”

The Full House cast and fans keep Bob Saget’s memory alive.
