JoJo Siwa Thought Men Were ‘Gross’
On Dance Moms, JoJo Siwa was known as ‘JoJo With the Bow Bow,’ as she donned a signature bow almost weekly. Yet it worked for her, and she began marketing them along with herself. Eventually, she went on tour, created her own line of merchandise based on her style, and became incredibly successful. Then, in 2021, JoJo revealed that she was gay and everything crashed. She admitted that she did lose a lot of fans, but it did not bother her as it would others.
“There was also a lot of negativity, and I did lose a lot. I didn’t care, and I still don’t care about the things I lost and the people that I lost and if I lost a chunk of fans, because it’s who I am.”
However, everything changed when she met Chris Hughes while filming Celebrity Big Brother U.K. Although she had a partner, she could not deny that they had a connection. Yet, JoJo was actually repulsed by the thought of being with a guy:
“I’ve always been grossed out by dudes. I’ve been talking about my boy best friends. They are conventionally hot men, right?”
She noted that she eventually saw him as more than a friend and soon realized she was not “grossed out by the thought of him being a boy.” Then, they moved forward with a relationship, but that meant JoJo Siwa felt the need to redefine her sexuality. She shared who she is now on the Wildmen podcast:
“I just am the umbrella term of queer or pansexual because yeah, I fell in love with a boy. Here we are.”
Appreciation For The New JoJo
Initially, JoJo Siwa’s relationship with Chris Hughes appeared to be a PR stunt. However, they seem incredibly happy together, and fans love this side of JoJo. They love that she has found her person and is living her best life:
