Everyone knows that fluctuating weight can take its toll on anyone. There is a shift towards encouraging the world to have more body positivity, but how does that work for public figures who are always in the spotlight? Kristin Cavallari speaks out about her recent weight changes. She has traveled through a pandemic, worked on raising her three kids, and announced her split from ex Jay Cutler the past two years. Kristin Cavallari shared that she has put on weight. She talks about her weight in a healthy way though. The Laguna Beach star works with a personal trainer who has helped her focus on her goals which included adding muscle.
Adding Pounds But Losing “Weight”
Founder and CEO of Uncommon James, Kristin Cavallari has juggled plenty of added stressors over the past several years. During her interview with US Weekly she said, “I’ve put on a lot of weight in the last few years, but in a good way.” She was referencing the hard work she has done with her personal trainer to gain muscle and maintain it. She has a serious workout routine that includes three days of intense exercise with her trainer and 30-minute sessions on her VersaClimber on the days she doesn’t meet with the trainer. But even though the pounds may have increased some, she says she is feeling her best. She attributes a lot of that to the “heavy lifting” she has done on her personal life as well. She has put in the time to sort through the things that were “weighing” her down mentally not just worrying about the number on the scale. In fact, she isn’t interested in the number on the scale at all. She avoids weigh-ins and instead bases her progress on how she feels and the fit of her clothes. E! News quoted her saying, “I feel the best I ever have. I feel like I’m the strongest I’ve ever been,” she continued. “I’m just really comfortable in my skin right now, which is a really good feeling.”
Kristin Cavallari’s Self-Reflection
While reviewing past photos, Cavallari said she was “shocked at how thin” she appeared in them. “I didn’t realize it at the time, how thin I was. So I’m happy that I’ve put on weight,” she mentioned during the US Weekly interview. She also noted that “I’m really petite. I have no hips. I’m just small. And so if I don’t work out for like a week or two, I feel like all my muscle goes away,” Cavallari said. “So it is about consistency for me.” Her efforts seem to be paying off as she displayed her progress in her black bikini. But more than that, she also talks about her personal internal efforts and how she has grown during the past two years. She is looking forward to the new person she has become as she explores the idea of new relationships.
Kudos to Kristin on her journey to self-betterment. Her comfort level with her body and improved strides in her personal life deserves recognition. Keep up the good work!
