Many fans are accusing Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird of scamming her followers on TikTok with overpriced junk.

She does accessory live-stream sales.

Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird goes Live on TikTok pretty regularly to sell accessories to her fans and followers. Per a YouTuber named Elle Bee, Pumpkin’s live stream is chaotic and hard to follow (especially when new viewers happen to stumble upon the stream).

Elle Bee points out Pumpkin does have a lot of followers because of her reality TV show. But, she also has many people who just happen to stumble upon her TikTok and have no idea who she is. So, the YouTuber notes that it is “wild” Pumpkin would have the audacity to be so rude to her potential customers that are simply asking for an explanation about what’s going on or how the claim process works.

Is Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird scamming people?

On multiple Reddit threads, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird is being accused of scamming her fans and followers with overpriced junk. For example, some of the character bows she sells to her customers for $3 a piece can be purchased for just $0.88 on Temu. Elle Bee clarifies her intent is not to bash Pumpkin and she should absolutely “get that bag.” She, however, clarifies that it is wild Pumpkin has the audacity to be so rude to people while selling products that they could buy directly from Temu (or other sources) at least 1/3 of the price in most cases.

Now, buying something and selling it for a profit to someone else is just how business works. So, some fans are arguing that is hardly what they would consider being scamming people. The scam, however, comes in with the shipping payment. Pumpkin’s customers have to pay an $8 shipping fee to purchase items. Then, they can “cash out” and send her a payment for the cost of the items. Pumpkin, however, prefers people to send their shipping payment prior to claiming items. The problem? Pumpkin doesn’t refund the shipping payment to people who end up not getting to buy anything because they don’t claim fast enough.

During a recent live stream, one individual continues to ask Pumpkin to confirm she received their payment and she continues to deny receiving it despite the individual insisting they sent it. A second individual requests the $8 to be sent back so they can include their shipping information. Pumpkin refuses to send the $8 back and insists she’s basically keeping it because the customer wasted her time.

Likening her live stream to that of a concert, Pumpkin seemingly suggests the individuals watching the stream are getting $8 worth just by watching her. Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird’s moderators on the live stream join her in trolling the customer as they made fun of her for fighting so hard to get eight dollars back.

On Reddit, fans were disgusted and hoped Pumpkin got sued one day for the way she’s treating people. Elle Bee also pointed out that tons of individuals on Reddit claim they pay her and never receive their products. Likewise, some have claimed they paid her and received the WRONG items. Elle suspects the only reason Pumpkin gets away with it is because she’s a reality TV star. But, she won’t get away with it forever.
