Leslie Fhima Still Processing Split
While Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist are planning their new life together, Leslie Fhima is still processing the heartbreaking split.
During the After the Final Rose special, Fhima said that she understood why Turner made the decision he did. However, she has spoken out since then about his lack of integrity.
According to the Minnesota native, the Golden Bachelor promised her certain things during their overnight date that he later rescinded. She claims that he heavily implied that they would end up together.
Instead, he sent her home and proposed to Theresa Nist. One way Leslie Fhima is processing the split is by telling her truth about what went down. She was a guest on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, and she did not mince words.
The Moment She Knew It Was Over With Gerry
At the ATFR, Leslie Fhima said she felt blindsided by Gerry Turner’s decision. But hindsight is 20/20. Looking back, she recalled the moment she knew he was breaking up with her.
“When I heard the knock on the door, I knew that this was it,” Fhima recalled to podcast hosts Joe Amabilie and Serena Pitt.
She continued, “It’s happened before on the show, and I just knew it was over. It wasn’t like I was going to open the door and he was going to say, ‘I love you so much.’ I just knew.”

But it wasn’t just the knock on her door that clued Fhima in to what was about to happen. “That’s why I was crying when he left, because when he left, he put his head on my shoulder and started sobbing. I just knew,” she explained.
However, before that moment, she had no idea things had changed between them. “As far as I knew, a few days before that, I was his choice.”
When asked by the hosts, Leslie Fhima admitted that she’s nervous to put herself out there again. “I got my heart broken and I really don’t want to go through that again right now.”
“It just might take some time, that’s all,” she said about the idea of dating again.
When she is ready to date, she says that she just wants someone she can “grow old with.”
