After close to a year, Deputy Swanger was given clearance to return to work. It was a horrifying night for his partner, Stephania Pumphrey, but she kept the faith.
On the Friday, June 12th episode of OPL, Deputy Swanger was featured, but he gave viewers quite a scare. They could hear an alarm going off in the distance, while he was visibly pale and sweating. The Knox County, Tennessee Deputy has been through so much in the last year that it makes sense that this would draw concern. Immediately, Stephania hopped on social media and explained exactly what was happening. It seemed that his blood sugar had dropped, thus his Dexcom sensor went off. Fortunately, he is always prepared with stuff in his truck, so it was not a long-term issue.
