Little People, Big World star Amy Roloff’s world has been turned upside down as her father, Gordon Knight, passed away. He was 97 and a staple in her life. So, what happened, and when did he die? Keep reading for more details.
Amy Roloff Is Celebrating Halloween At The Farm
It is a big time at Roloff Farms as everyone gathers to see the pumpkins. As per tradition, Amy Roloff dresses up as a variety of characters, which she showcases on social media. Although she and Matt Roloff are no longer married, their show, Little People, Big World, keeps the farm going. It has been a huge draw, and fans want to see what Amy is dressed as. Sometimes she is Minnie Mouse while others, she is an adorable clown. Tragically, in the middle of all of this, Amy has suffered a devastating heartbreak.

Her father, Gordon Knight, died at the age of 97. This happened three weeks ago, and it was Jacob Roloff who broke the news via his Instagram. He shared a series of snaps featuring Gordon and noted that he has not had the chance to “process” the death just yet. Jacob added that his grandfather could be intimidating, but always had a smile and a wink. Moreover, he loved visiting him and his grandmother because family time was extremely special. Gordon was a cool dude, living his best life just four months before he died, and age never slowed him down.
Amy Roloff’s father had been the victim of a death hoax in 2025, but this time, it is for real. Jacob praised Gordon in his tribute, accentuating everything beautiful about him. Amy chimed in and wrote:
- So beautifully said Jacob. I’m going to miss him lots too. So many memories. Never often enough to take all you four kids to see grandma and grandpa over the years. I’m happy you had a chance to go and visit grandpa with me as an adult. I hope each one of you will have a special fond memory of him. 🙏🏻💙
Hold Onto The Memories
LPBW fans and followers reminded Jacob Roloff to hold onto the memories that he had of Amy Roloff’s father. Those were what would keep him going during his darkest days and when he struggled the most. One person chimed in with tales of what a storyteller Gordon was when they met him briefly. Another stated that he was “remarkable,” and those kind words will stay with the family for a lifetime.
