Amy Duggar always has something to say about her family, and now she is speaking out about her ‘narcissistic’ cousin, Josh Duggar. She believes that he should “rot” behind bars, but what is her reasoning? Keep reading for more on what else Amy had to share.
Amy Duggar Is Very Verbal & Never Holds Back
The Duggars have been through so much in the last decade, as Josh Duggar was convicted of receiving and possessing child sex abuse material (CSAM). He was sentenced to almost 13 years behind bars, leaving his wife and seven kids at home. Since Josh’s conviction, he has been desperate to be freed. However, that has not happened, no matter what he has done. Then, his younger brother, Joseph, was charged with touching a minor inappropriately. It started a tailspin of problems and questions regarding what was wrong with this family. What were they hiding?

Amy Duggar, Josh and Joseph’s cousin, is always chiming in where she can. Now, she is speaking out about Josh, stating that he is ‘narcissistic,’ hence why he keeps appealing his conviction:
“Here’s what I think: Narcissistic people don’t like to be wrong. They don’t like someone questioning their character and making them look like they’re this horrible person, and they don’t think they are. This is all what narcissistic people do. This is textbook, exactly the way a narcissist handles the situation.”
Josh has always said that he is innocent and that there were “errors in the admission of forensic evidence” during his trial. Therefore, he will continue to file appeals left and right. However, Amy believes that Josh Duggar needs to give it up and “rot” for the rest of his time.
Amy has one big question for her cousin, and that is: what does he think will happen after the prison doors open?
Back To Normal?
Does Josh Duggar think that his life will go back to what it was like before his arrest and sentencing? He was already accused of molesting his sisters and a babysitter. Therefore, things were tainted prior to going to jail, so it was never easy. Amy Duggar does make a good point, saying that his life will be hard and the adjustment won’t be seamless. At the same time, he likely believes that anything is better than prison. Amy has no problems talking about her family and their problems. Yet, as much as she talks about them, she claims she has distanced herself as much as she could:
“It’s a circus. These are not my monkeys. It’s horrible. I’m related to them. Yes, we’re related by blood, but they don’t know my life. They don’t know me at all.”
