Little People Big World: Zach Roloff Has Been Trying To Step Out From Under Matt Roloff’s Shadow
Ever since the botched Roloff Farms deal, Zach Roloff has actively made decisions to try and step out from underneath Matt Roloff’s shadow. Moving his family to Battle Ground, Washington was a big part of that. Not only did it give them a chance to start over with a new property, but, it also put more distance between them and Matt.
Zach Roloff now has his own property to raise his family on. Zach said in the Little People Big World Season 25 finale that Roloff Farms would not be a part of their lives growing up like it was for him. Instead, Zach wants to build on his new property to give his children something else, essentially forging a new legacy.

In many ways, the Battle Ground, Washington property that Zach Roloff, Tori Roloff, and their children live on is a smaller version of Roloff Farms. There is a lot of land to work with. This also means that, much like with Roloff Farms, Zach can do various building projects on his land.
One of Zach Roloff’s bright ideas is to build an indoor soccer field in his workshop. As longtime Little People Big World fans know, Zach loves soccer. It’s a love that he even passed on to his oldest son, Jackson Roloff. While an indoor soccer field might seem like an interesting idea, many viewers were quick to roast Zach for it.

While the idea of an indoor soccer field might seem nice in theory, the practical application is a little more tricky. Recently, many Little People Big World fans called out Zach’s idea, pointing out numerous flaws, as well as why it wouldn’t be a good idea to try and make it a reality. So, what did viewers have to say about it?
- One fan said: “Am I the only one scratching my head at Zach’s idea of creating an indoor soccer field with drywalled walls? It’s a cool concept, but not inside with drywall. Those walls are going to be dented and dinged up in about 30 seconds.”
- Another commenter added: “What kind of shop will it be? He does absolutely nothing! Awful big building fully finished for a ‘shop.’”
- A third commenter said: “So cringe. That ‘shop’ is a glorified storage unit. They needed something to film for the show (bc Zach has no interests, hobbies, or skills), so they went with the green felt and goal stickers & viola, something to film.”
