Melania Trump has twice served as the First Lady of the United States alongside her husband President Donald Trump’s presidencies. Through this, she has also been a mother to her son, Barron. Recently, she’s weighed in on changes in their relationship over the years.
Barron Trump Is President Donald Trump & Melania Trump’s Only Child Together, Though He Is His Father’s Fifth
Melania is a former model who currently serves as the First Lady of the United States. She previously served in this role during her husband President Donald Trump’s previous presidency from 2017 to 2021.
Barron is Donald and Melania’s son, born in 2006. He is his mother’s only biological child, but is his father’s fifth and youngest child.
Melania is known to be private about her personal affairs. However, she recently offered a glimpse into her family life. In particular, she noted that her time with her now adult son has become gradually infrequent.
During a recent Fox Business appearance, Taylor Riggs discussed how Melania manages to spend time with her family given her role in the Trump administration. At the time, she asked, “Do you still try to get your family together for Sunday night dinners or try to see Barron when you can? What are pieces of advice for moms who feel like they’re so stretched thin, trying to do it all?”
Melania Previously Expressed That Things Were Quite Different For Her & Her Only Child
Melania revealed, “It’s good to schedule, right? It’s always good because everybody’s so busy.” She shared that they were all busy with their own responsibilities and had to work to spend time with each other.
Barron is now a student at New York University. Ultimately, she framed the decreasing time the two spend together as a natural part of growing up. As she expressed, “But that’s OK. We are here to work, to do a good job, and that’s what matters.” She continued, “Barron is already a young man, so sometimes he’s maybe even happy that, you know, I just want to do my stuff. And that’s okay.”

In fact, Melania expressed that things were once quite different. During a previous appearance on Mornings with Maria, she shared, “It’s very important. You need to be there for a child nonstop, especially when they need you, especially at that age that Barron is.”
