Michelle Obama and her husband are living their best lives after his presidency. He’s busy getting ready to open his Presidential Library in Chicago. Meanwhile, the former First Lady revealed her dream job: reality TV star. Could viewers see her on a popular reality TV show soon? Keep reading for all the details.
Michelle Obama’s Post-White House Life
Michelle and Barack Obama raised their two daughters in the White House. Malia and Sasha Obama are in their 20s now with their own lives and careers. That leaves their parents a lot of free time to pursue different opportunities. They signed a production deal with Netflix after leaving the White House. The deal has since expired as they pursue producing independently.

The former First Lady has released two memoirs about her life and time in the White House. She currently hosts a podcast with her brother, Craig Robinson. During her time as First Lady, she encouraged healthier food options in schools. Michelle Obama launched PLEZi Nutrition in 2023. The food and beverage company provides healthy, low-sugar food to children.
But her dream job is very different from her philanthropy efforts. The next place you might see Michelle Obama is reality television.
Former First Lady Headed To Popular Reality TV Show?
Higher Ground is a media company the Obamas created after leaving the White House. Michelle Obama just announced that the company is launching a new podcast. Lemme Say This podcast is hosted by Hunter Harris and Peyton Dix. The former First Lady played a round of Q&A while announcing the podcast on June 1.

Hunter Harris asked what reality show the First Lady would join. Michelle Obama is a huge fan of Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise but shut down the idea of joining it. “In my opinion, I could not be a Real Housewife.”
She did express interest in being a peacekeeper at the notoriously combative Real Housewives reunions. “Why can’t we work this stuff out? Ladies, come on now, we’re grown. We are all grown,” she said.
With the Bravo show out of the question, Michelle Obama did reveal the possibility of joining another popular reality TV show. According to Radar Online, she said, “Oh, I have been so into Traitors. I’ve thought about Traitors. I would want to be a faithful, and I would want to find the traitor.”
The Peacock reality show wrapped up Season 4 earlier this year. It has been renewed for Season 5 with Alan Cumming returning as host. Michelle Obama wouldn’t be the first politician on the reality show. Former UK House of Commons Speaker John Bercow competed on Season 2.
However, a former First Lady competing on any reality TV show might be a security nightmare that networks don’t want to deal with. But anything can happen. What reality show would you want to see Michelle Obama join? Sound off in the comments.
