Ricki Lake had a famous career in daytime television and recently made an appearance on another talk show, The View. At the time, she had a share concerning one of the longtime show’s co-hosts, Rosie O’Donnell. This followed a previous share O’Donnell had made earlier this year.
Ricki Lake Famously Hosted Her Own Namesake Talk Show From 1993 To 2004
Lake first became known to many playing Tracy Turnblad in the 1988 original comedy film, Hairspray. She later rose to fame as the host of her own namesake syndicated talk show, Ricki Lake, from 1993 to 2004.
More recently, Lake visited another daytime talk show, though as a guest this time. On Halloween, October 31, 2026, Lake made an appearance on The Weekend View.
At the time, Lake discussed her longtime friend and fellow talk show alum, Rosie O’Donnell, and her previous facelift. However, she mused that there was a time she wasn’t too receptive about the procedure, particularly when she underwent it herself.
As Lake shared, “Rosie is my really good friend and we talk all the time. She was judgy.”
Lake felt that O’Donnell wouldn’t deny the story. As she continued, “She would admit it. She was a little judgy about me and my friends that went to this doctor and had these amazing results.”
Lake previously confirmed that she underwent “deep plane lower face and neck lift along with a mild co2 laser” from Dr. Allen Foulad in Beverly Hills a few years back. At the time, she felt that she needed the procedure after losing weight.
Many Fans Shared Their Reaction To The Conversation, With Some Hoping To See More Of Lake On The View
For her part, O’Donnell got a lower deep-plane facelift in January 2026. She had opened up about the procedure the following May on social media.
With Lake’s recent share, fans have since been sharing their own reactions to the admission. Many praised Lake for being open about the procedure. Others, however, pointed out that it can be a luxury for some.
In addition, quite a few commenters noted that Lake had a good repertoire with the other co-hosts. A few wondered if viewers could soon see more of her on The View. Some comments included:
