Hart to Hart aired for five seasons from 1979 to 1984. In addition to Wagner and Powers, the TV series starred Lionel Stander as their chauffeur/butler/cook, Max. The show followed (unpaid) amateur detectives Jonathan, a self-made millionaire CEO, and Jennifer, a freelance journalist, as they traveled the world to solve murder, smuggling, theft, and other cases.
After the TV series ended, Wagner and Powers reunited for eight TV movies that were released between 1993 and 1996. Standers appeared in the first five before his death at 86 in 1994.
