They meet again on a game show! Ryan Seacrest and Brian Austin Green reminisced about their time on Beverly Hills 90210, where Seacrest played a game show host. Green competed on the Disney+ only episodes of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, which dropped on June 12.
Green played against Tulsa King‘s Andrea Savage and NFL star Cam Heyward. This was his second time playing Wheel. The first was in 1995 when Ed Asner wiped the board clean.
After the first toss-up, Ryan Seacrest did the usual interview portion. “Well, well, well, Brian Austin Green is here. We meet again, coincidentally on a game show,” he said. “I have to say that Brian Austin Green is credited with my big break because you directed the episode of 90210 that I was in.”
“I started you,” Green replied. “I was directing. We had a game show sequence in the show, and you were the host.”
“The game show on Beverly Hills 90210 was called Lovers Lane,” Seacrest explained.
“We had just the back seat of classic cars, and it was sort of like a love/dating game show,” Green said.
“I asked Tori Spelling‘s character, ‘Where’s your favorite place to make whoopee?’ That was the line you guys wrote for me, by the way,” Seacrest told Green.
“I didn’t write it!” Green said. “I wasn’t the writer on the show. I was just telling the camera where to shoot.”
“It was so much fun to be on that set,” Seacrest said.
When Seacrest and Vanna White were asked by On The Red Carpet if there was someone who stood out to them that played the game, Seacrest said Green. “I worked with him when I was 19 years old on the original 90210, so it was good to rekindle our working relationship,” he said.
He told fans to enjoy the clip of him on the show that he was sure they would add. A young Seacrest was on the screen with frosted-tipped hair in a gray suit, asking Spelling’s character, “Where’s your fiancé’s favorite place to make whoopee?”
