Sarah Baeumler is looking for homeowners to be featured on her brand-new HGTV series.
Earlier this month, the Canadian streaming service Citytv+ announced that the Battle on the Beach mentor will host a new home renovation show titled Sarah Baeumler By Design, which will premiere “soon” on HGTV.
“Each week, the pressure is on to make design dreams come true as I take on some pretty challenging projects, all while juggling life as a busy mom,” she teased in a June 3 Instagram announcement video.
Now, Baeumler is seeking out fans who want to get involved with the series. “Want to film with us? Do you have a renovation that’s stalled, a space that’s driving you crazy, or a project that just can’t seem to cross the finish line?” she wrote in a Tuesday, June 9, Instagram post. “We’re casting across the Greater Toronto Area for a new season of Sarah by Design and we want to hear your story.”
Baeumler continued, “If you’re ready for expert design help, a little construction magic, and the chance to be part of the journey on camera, this could be for you. Bold, exciting ideas welcome. Big dreams encouraged. Great stories required.”
Baeumler encouraged interested fans to apply through the link in her Instagram bio. Per the official casting call, Sarah Baeumler By Design will follow the Renovation Island star as she “tackles major transformations – from homeowners with once-in-a-lifetime personal milestones, to business owners on the verge of a critical launch – all while racing against the clock to deliver a show-stopping space.”
The show’s casting team is seeking “residential and commercial remodels tied to a milestone, launch, reopening, next step, or pressing deadline,” per the website. “Whether it’s transforming a beloved space ahead of an event, reinventing a business for a Grand Opening, or finally creating a place that supports how you want to live, we want to hear about it.”
Requirements for applicants include living in the Greater Toronto area, being available to film prior to October 2026, having already begun on their desired project, having a minimum budget of $75,000, being open to appearing on camera, and handing over control of the project to the show’s team, as well as vacating their space during filming and organizing their own accommodations.
Fans shared their excitement for the casting call in the comments of Baeumler’s post. “Yes help us with more livable space! In burlington, kitchen, bedrooms we need it all!” one user wrote. Another quipped, “Does Rochester, NY count as the greater Toronto area? I think so!”
Baeumler’s fellow Battle on the Beach Season 5 mentor Mika Kleinschmidt commented, “I would buy a property there just to have you renovate it with me.” Angelina Jacobs, who is one of Baeumler’s Battle on the Beach teammates, wrote, “Omg my bags would be packed in 2.0 seconds! I would love to renovate with you again!”
In addition to Season 5 of Battle on the Beach, Sarah and her husband, Bryan Baeumler, recently premiered their latest HGTV series, Renovation Island: The Adventure Continues, on Sunday, June 7. The couple is also set to take over hosting duties for Erin and Ben Napier on the new Home Town Takeover spinoff, Home Town Takeover Canada, which will premiere this fall.
