What To Know
- Ryan Seacrest discussed on his show that excessive heat is the main thing that makes him feel irritable rather than angry.
- He and his cohosts agreed that heat often leads to irritation and snappiness, with Seacrest emphasizing the difference between anger and irritation.
- Fans responded on social media, sharing that they also find heat irritating and often complain about it during hot weather.
Most people can probably agree with Ryan Seacrest when he says this one thing irritates him. He talked with his On Air radio show cohosts about one topic, and he said he gets more irritated over it than angry.
“We don’t do well in the heat,” the Instagram post was captioned.
“The small talk everywhere you go is about the heat,” he said on August 20. “Right? Isn’t that the first thing anyone says? ‘How you doing?’ ‘Oh, it’s so hot.’”
“‘Hi, what’s up? I can’t do anything in this heat. I can’t get it done,’” he went on. “Heat and hunger frustrate you. Dare I use the I word, irritate you?”
“I am very irritable when I’m hot,” Tanya Rad said. “I’m very snappy when I’m hot.”
“There’s a difference, Tanya, between being angry and being irritated,” Seacrest replied. “I err on the irritated side, not the anger side. I don’t get angry. What’s the point? But irritation. Yeah.”
Seacrest asked Sisanie if she feels angry, irritated, or a hybrid when she is hot. “Hybrid probably. I don’t like getting angry, either. You need to figure out how to control your emotions. You shouldn’t get so mad that you’re angry.”
“Or yelling,” the Wheel of Fortune host replied. “Like when you guys yell at me, I think ‘why?’”
“We never yell at you,” Rad said.
“Yelling sometimes gets confused with passion,” Sisanie said, to which Rad agreed.
“Not by me,” Seacrest said. “I hear it as yelling.”
“You yell too. You’re not this innocent non-yeller over there,” Sisanie said.
“Yeah, but my yell has no decibel,” Seacrest defended.
“It has a pitch, though,” Rad said. “And that pitch packs a punch.” They all laughed before moving on to the next topic.
Fans weighed in on whether or not they feel the same way. “Complaining comes to mind during heat. Irritating also tops the mood mindset,” one Instagram user said.
Some fans said they get annoyed, while others said they would rather be hungry than hot. “Yes when it is hot and humid it’s very irritating,” another commented.
