Scheana Shay appears to have taken a jab at her former Vanderpump Rules co-star, Stassi Schroeder, and her new launch. The mother of two broke some amazing news last week but it seemed Scheana was not as supportive as she appeared. Keep reading for more details.
Scheana Shay Takes Jab At Stassi Schroeder Over New Launch
When the two ladies starred on Vanderpump Rules, Scheana Shay and Stassi Schroeder had a back-and-forth friendship. Stassi had no problem calling her co-star out on being a chronic friend flip-flopper. More so, she felt she was disingenuous and spent more time texting than actually interacting with everyone. Fortunately, they were able to make amends when Stassi, Scheana, Lala Kent, and Brittany Cartwright all became pregnant at the same time. Scheana and Stassi’s daughters have had playdates, especially at birthday parties so they come together for the kids which is great.
Unfortunately, a lot has happened this season of Vanderpump Rules, and friendships are fractured. That being said, when Ariana Madix got DWTS, Scheana made it all about her. She was crying because she wanted it and even took dance lessons hoping to get it. Yet, Ariana did post-‘Scandoval’ and that killed Scheana. Now, it seems that Stassi’s big moment is killing Scheana, too. On Thursday, March 28th, Stassi announced that her long-running podcast had been picked up by Dear Media. Additionally, it had been rebranded Stassi from Straight Up With Stassi. According to The Sun, Scheana may not have been as thrilled as she acted.
After the announcement was posted, Scheana Shay wrote: “Welcome to the fam!!! 🩵🩵🩵” However, fans felt that this was very disingenuous and a backhanded compliment. Why did they feel this way? Stassi Schroeder has been doing a podcast since 2015 whereas Scheana started her podcast, Scheananigans, in 2018. Therefore, Stassi has been on this train longer than Scheana so she is no newbie to the world, just to Dear Media.
Fans Clapback At Scheana
After seeing Scheana Shay welcoming Stassi Schroeder to the Dear Media family, fans had a lot to say to Shay. They felt that she had no right to say anything to Stassi when she walked to Scheana could walk in the podcast world:
- She started a podcast a long time ago!!
- she was doing far before you, stay humble ❤
- Trying to make it about you per usual 🙄
Of course, a handful of fans tried to say that Scheana was simply welcoming Stassi to the same podcast team that they will be utilizing. However, one did note that she could have used better phrasing to not look like it was all about her.
