  • The happy couple opened up about their weddings in an interview with Vogue.

Al Roker and Deborah Roberts got emotional seeing their daughter, Leila Roker, all dressed up on her wedding day.

On Sunday, June 14, Roker reposted an Instagram video, originally shared by Mark Ingram Bridal Atelier NYC, featuring footage from Leila’s wedding day. “Thanks to @markingramatelier for the beautiful looks for the bride, @leilaroker and mother of the bride, @debrobertsabc,” the Today host wrote alongside the clip.

The video began with Roberts’ first reaction to Leila in her wedding dress. She smiled and clutched her dress upon seeing Leila’s bridal beauty, and the two went on to share a hug. Roberts, for her part, got dressed in a beautiful lilac gown and led Lilac to her first look with Roker.

Roker, for his part, was all smiles seeing Leila’s completed bridal look. He lovingly joined hands with Roberts and their daughter during the special moment before the trio posed for pre-wedding photos together. The video also featured footage from the wedding ceremony and reception, including clips of Roker and Roberts giving a speech and sharing a sweet dance.

Fans gushed over the wedding video in the comments of Roker’s post. “You all were stunning,” wrote Octavia Spencer. One user stated, “They both looked so lovely! Both dresses were perfection. Lavender is @debrobertsabc’s color!” Another added, “Congratulations. Beautiful bride and incredible family.”

Someone else gushed, “Absolutely STUNNING!” A different person posted, “Everyone looks amazing! Congratulations!” A separate commenter posted, “Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for sharing with us.”

Leila is the eldest of Roker and Roberts’ two children, including their son, Nick. Roker also shares his eldest daughter, Courtney, with his late ex-wife, Alice Bell. Leila tied the knot with her now-husband, Sylvain Gricourt, in two separate ceremonies last month, the first taking place in his home country of France and the other in New Jersey.

Roberts shared more glimpses into the couple’s U.S. ceremony via Instagram on Saturday, June 13. “Three weeks ago, our little girl walked down a beautiful aisle, and stepped into a new life as a married woman. Our hearts are bursting with joy and happiness for Leila and Sylvain,” she captioned the post, the first slide of which featured a snap of Roker walking Leila down the aisle. “What a magical and inspiring, Transcontinental love story you’ve made. Your vows said it all. You are writing new chapters to your lives which transcend culture, language and boundaries. Best wishes on your new journey.”

Roberts also posted photos from Leila and Gricourt’s civil ceremony in Paris via Instagram on Sunday. “A story as old as time. A beautiful romance unfolding across two continents. Celebrated twice, With love as the common language,” she wrote. “So happy you found each other Leila and Sylvain. Many blessings on your new union.”

The couple opened up about their wedding ceremonies in a Vogue interview published on Saturday. “In the U.S., watching Leila walk down the aisle was unexpectedly one of the most powerful moments for me, even within a cultural context different from my own,” Gricourt gushed. “Seeing her in what I had always imagined as the ‘traditional’ bridal silhouette, walking toward me with her father, felt like the culmination of everything we had worked toward over the past 14 months. In that moment, it all became real — we were truly becoming husband and wife.”

Leila added, “Across both ceremonies, I felt an overwhelming sense of joy — expressed in different ways, much like my own life between two worlds. There was something incredibly meaningful about having a ‘home’ in two places. And seeing those worlds come together — not once, but twice — felt nothing short of magic.”
