Can Robin Thicke name that tune? Thicke replaced Randy Jackson as bandleader on the upcoming season of Name That Tune. See the first look at Thicke in his new role.

The exclusive key art with Thicke and host Jane Krakowski features both of them holding onto a music note. Krakowski sports her usual sparkly suit jacket and dress. Thicke donned a blue pinstripe suit with a gold chain and no shirt underneath. He added a music note pin to his lapel.

“How many notes do you need?” was plastered along the top. This season of Celebrity Name That Tune features an all-new cast of celebrity guests, as well as some civilians who will play the musical game for cash and prizes, with the top prize of $100,000.

Season 6 begins on Monday, September 21, with an hour-long episode. The full lineup of celebrities has not yet been announced.

Thicke was announced as the new band leader in July. Randy Jackson had been in that role since Season 1. He would cohost alongside Krakowski, but mostly sit at the piano and play the notes for specific rounds.

However, Jackson will still be a part of the show, just in the background. According to a rep, he remains part of Name That Tunecontinuing to lend his unparalleled expertise and passion as a consulting music supervisor, helping shape the show’s signature sound and creative vision.

Celebrity Name That Tune was revived in 2021 after a similar game aired in the 1970s and has gone through many iterations with civilians and celebrities. Season 1 was everyday people. Season 2 was a mix of non-famous people and celebrities. From Season 3 on, it has been all celebrities. Now everyday civilians will be back to try to win money. The celebrities will donate the money to their chosen charity.

In each round, the contestants go head-to-head, trying to be the first to correctly identify the song playing. It could have lyrics, or it could just be a tune, depending on the round. Whoever has the most amount of money by the end of the rounds advances to the Bonus Round to try to win more.

Thicke is not new to Fox singing shows. He is also a panelist on The Masked Singer, alongside Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora. However, this time, Thicke will know who is buzzing in.
