June 12 marked Ana Cabrera‘s final broadcast on MS NOW after three years with the network. She signed off with a farewell message to viewers at the end of her two-hour morning show.
“And now to a final goodbye,” Cabrera said. “This was my last show for MS NOW. Thank you for your viewership. Thank you for trusting me as your source of news and information. It has truly been a privilege and joy to serve you through this work as a journalist.”
She went on to note that she’s “so grateful” to everyone who made her daily show possible, including “dedicated producers, writers, reporting colleagues in the field,” as well as “friends behind the scenes, behind the cameras or in the studio, the control room, the audio booth, the makeup room” and the “impactful guests who have so generously shared their time and expertise with all of us, to shine a light, to help make sense of our world.”
Cabrera looked ahead to the future, assuring fans, “While this is the end of one chapter, this is not the end of the story.” She also urged everyone to “continue to ask the tough questions, to hold people in power accountable, to give voice to the vulnerable, and to always seek the truth and fact.”
To close her message, Cabrera signed off one last time and promised, “I’ll keep you posted on social media about what’s next for me.”
Cabrera joined MS NOW in 2023. In March, the network announced a major scheduling shake-up, which included the journalist no longer being part of the daily lineup.
Fans were sad to see Cabrera go. “ANA CABRERA WAS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS I ENJOYED WATCHING MSNOW NEWS. I may have to move on to other news outlets,” one person wrote on X, while someone else said, “Very sad to see Ana Cabrera leave MSNOW. This was her last show today. She was good.” Another commenter wrote, “I will so miss Ana Cabrera on MSNOW. She made morning news bearable.”
The 9a/8c to 11a/10c weekday slot on MS NOW will be hosted by Stephanie Ruhle moving forward. Peter Alexander will be anchor of the 11a/10c to 12/11c hour.
