The new season of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test just premiered on Thursday, September 24th. Alexia Umansky has joined the show with her father, Mauricio, and many may recognize them from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. They also had their own Netflix show, Buying Beverly Hills. Now, Alexia is revealing who her shocking inspiration was to push through and keep going. So, who was it? Read on for all of the details.
Alexia Umansky Found Special Inspiration
Being on Special Forces is extremely hard and not for the faint of heart. RHOBH star Alexia Umansky is joined by her father, Mauricio, and admittedly, her mother was livid. When Kyle Richards learned that both her estranged husband and one of her four daughters were headed onto the show, she flipped. Seemingly, she was okay with Mauricio challenging himself, but not with taking Alexia along for the ride. Regardless, the two headed off to Malaysia for this most incredible adventure.
However, one person was truly inspirational to Alexia, but not someone most would expect. It was RHONJ star Gia Giudice, who was on Special Forces last season with her mother, Teresa. Teresa left early as she struggled to watch Gia get hurt, but in a twist, the 25-year-old made it to the end. She was the last one standing alongside Shawn Johnson East:
“[Gia] really inspired me to keep going and keep pushing. Her season, she was so incredible. Her telling me anything would have gotten me through. I was like, ‘Anything you say, just yes!’”
The fact that Gia made it to the end was huge, plus they already had the Bravo upbringing in common. Therefore, Alexia Umansky felt that she needed to call the Next Gen NYC face for advice and motivation:
“[Gia] was just so reassuring. I wanted to call her since she won. I thought, ‘This is the perfect person to [ask for advice].’ We share some parts of our life. We both grew up with our moms being who they are, icons. I called her and she was so sweet, so reassuring. I was so scared. I was very, very nervous.”
Alexia noted that Gia comforted her a lot and made the time away seem great, so that took away some of the fear.
All The Advice
Gia Giudice noted that Alexia Umansky wanted to know what it was like from beginning to end. She did not want any surprises, but Alexia and Mauricio met with one other person. They had a session with Tony Robbins to get in the proper headspace to be on Special Forces. Once that happened, it seemed they were ready to roll. It will be interesting to see how far they make it with all of the guidance they have been given.
