True-crime love story The Resort, from Palm Springs author Andy Siara and Mr. Robotic creator Sam Esmail has been ordered at Peacock.
The streamer has handed the collection, from UCP, an eight-part order.
The Resort explores love and the bizarre issues we do within the title of it, encased in an elaborate true-crime conspiracy, with every season set in a singular picturesque trip vacation spot. The primary season takes place at an all-inclusive resort alongside the Mayan Riviera, when a married couple on the point of divorce inadvertently turns into embroiled in one of many Yucatan’s most weird, unsolved mysteries that, someway, is a component metaphysical detective story, half Indiana Jones-esque journey, half coming-of-age romance.
