Joy Behar has had some unexpected reactions to guests over the years. She actually found common ground with Vice President JD Vance when he was on the show earlier this year. Her View co-hosts even accused her of being “in love” with the VP. When Joy Behar likes you, she’s not afraid to show it.
Rapper LL Cool J appeared on The View this week to promote his new show and share huge news with fans. The NCIS: New York star announced he’s returning to his music roots with a Las Vegas residency in 2027. He promised “Rock The Bells: The Residency” would be “multigenerational” for all of his fans to enjoy.
Whoopi Goldberg brought up LL Cool J’s 1990 hit “Mama Said Knock You Out.” His grandmother was the inspiration behind the song. Sunny Hostin praised the rapper for releasing rap’s first romantic ballad with 1987’s “I Need Love.” Joy Behar jumped in and asked if he got the love he wanted.
“Absolutely, I did quite well!” he said, to cheers from the studio audience. Sunny Hostin mentioned that LL Cool J was once arrested while performing “I Found Love.” He played coy about the incident, joking that he did something “naughty.”
“Alright!” Joy Behar said. “Whatever you say!” “You might be arrested for what you’re thinking right now!” LL Cool J joked.
Fans Lose It Over The Encounter
LL Cool J is short for “Ladies Love Cool James,” so is it any surprise that he was “naughty” back in the day? According to multiple outlets, the rapper was arrested for “humping a couch” during a concert in Georgia in 1987.
