Joy Behar calls out self-centered Sara Haines

The co-hosts made it personal during the episode. Joy Behar asked co-host Whoopi Goldberg about her “1977” sweatshirt. Some fans on Twitter mocked the comedian over her fashion accessory. Some thought it meant that it was the last time she had a good opinion.

Joy wanted to know what was so special about that year. She asked the moderator why her sweatshirt was emblazoned with “1977” on it in white numbers. Whoopi looked down at her sweatshirt. She paired the look with denim jeggings and dark green Crocs.

“What happened in 1977?” Joy Behar asked Whoopi.

“Me,” Sara Haines chimed in.

She leaned into Whoopi with a smile on her face. “Is that the year you were born?” one of the co-hosts asked her. Sara leaned onto Whoopi’s arm.

“It is, and I said I’m gonna pretend you wore it to me,” Sara joked.

“Not everything is about you!” Joy Behar snapped.

“It is!” Sara exclaimed.

Then, the two ended up in laughter. Whoopi shared that her granddaughter gave her the sweatshirt for Christmas. The reason why she chose to wear it during the show was “because, in 1977, many of us were there.”

Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts. Most of them agreed with Joy Behar. They sternly reminded Sara that not everything was about her. However, they weren’t joking like Joy was.

Is The View co-host too rude?

Some fans have to wonder if Joy Behar is too rude. She was called out for her behavior the day prior. Joy fell asleep during Whoopi’s outro. When the show returned from its final commercial break of the hour, Whoopi thanked the fans for tuning in.

“Welcome back. Before we go, we wanted to take a moment to pay our respects to yesterday’s deadly shootings in California and Illinois,” she said. “You know there have been 39 mass shootings in the first month of 2023 and obviously and unfortunately it is not going away and it is one we will be addressing again.”

Apparently, Joy Behar was awake during the show. She responded: “God.” Whoopi concluded her message and closed out the show. The panel had a somber expression on their faces as the cameras panned out.
