‘The View:’ Whoopi Goldberg Becomes Immobile & Struggles To Eat

TV Shows

The View returned from summer break with a new episode today and during that new episode, Whoopi Goldberg shared some pretty concerning information about her health. Unfortunately, the 67-year-old actress and comedian did NOT enjoy her Independence Day weekend as much as some of her co-stars. In fact, Whoopi Goldberg revealed she became immobile over the holiday weekend and found herself struggling to do basic tasks including eating and getting to the bathroom.

The View: Whoopi Goldberg Becomes Immobile & Struggles To Eat

The beginning of today’s episode of The View featured each member of the panel sharing a little about what they did to celebrate the Fourth of July. Sunny Hostin shared that she was a guest at Michael Rubin’s white party. Sara Haines opted to host a pool party for her children and her children’s friends. Alyssa Farah Griffin shared that she jetted off to New Hampshire to spend the holiday with her in-laws. Ana Navarro and her husband spent Independence weekend on a getaway in the Dominican Republic.

Sadly, Whoopi Goldberg didn’t have a thrilling story to add to the conversation about how much fun she had on her holiday weekend. In fact, her weekend was a bit humiliating as she found herself needing help with very basic tasks. Whoopi shared with her co-stars that she injured her back and wasn’t able to be very mobile. And, that was the gist of her weekend.

She continued to share: “People came to see me, people fed me, people took care of me. Got me to the bathroom. You know those are the things that are important.”

“When you’re just trying to get to the bathroom and it’s wayyy over there and you’re thinking ‘aw come on.’”

Sunny Hostin interrupted Whoopi’s story to ask the question everyone wanted to know the answer to. How exactly did she hurt her back? Shrugging at the question, Whoopi Goldberg fessed up to the fact that she really wasn’t sure what happened.

She said as she answered the question to the best of her ability: “I don’t know what I did but my back said ‘pst’…’pst’…’try to get up.’ And I was like ‘uh…’ and my back was like ‘yeah. This is our message to you.”

This Follows Her Oversharing NSFW Details

On June 29th’s episode of The View, Whoopi Goldberg shocked everyone when she started to dive into some pretty deep details about her s*x life. So, some fans of The View on Twitter couldn’t help but draw a connection between what Whoopi discussed on June 29th and the fact that she could barely walk because of a back injury over Independence Day weekend.

Some viewers took to Twitter to express concern for Whoopi and encouraged her to check in with a doctor just to make sure nothing was seriously wrong with her back.
