The View co-host, Joy Behar made a very unusual on-air apology to viewers. Check out her reason for apologizing.
Joy Behar Doesn’t Walk Back Many Statements
Unmistakably, this has been another big week for The View panelists. Since Monday kicked off President Donald Trump’s second term, there is a well of topics for the ladies to analyze. Without a doubt, Joy Behar continues to lead her part of the “La Resistance.” But Whoopi Goldberg opted to take some “mental health” days and arrange to be out during the week of President Trump’s inauguration. While Joy is confident in her opinion, it is a rarity that the decisive woman will apologize. However, this week, Joy made several apologies to viewers.

Why Did Joy Behar Apologize To Viewers?
Recently, Joy Behar has stepped up to take a bigger role on the panel. Since The View Weekends has started to be filmed on Fridays, Whoopi Goldberg has a standing day off for Fridays. Unmistakably, the weekend edition will be shifting to more trendy topics and fewer political debates. Joy even joked she’ll need to brush up on Real Housewives so she is up to par. Normally, Joy sits in as the moderator during her absence. Likewise, with Whoopi out for another “work” obligation, Joy has slid in to command the table.

On January 22, Joy Behar announces the show saying, “Hello, everyone, and welcome to The View.” Then, Joy reassures, “Whoopi will be back next week.” She turns to her co-hosts to clarify, “She’s out for the week, right?” They agree and Sara Haines says a quick, “Yes.” Then, Joy turns to the audience and offers an apology, “I’m sorry.” She pauses as the audience laughs as she suggests they are “stuck” with her. But one audience member lifted Joy’s spirit by saying, “You’ll do!” Undoubtedly, that perked her right up hearing confidence in her sitting in for Whoopi Goldberg even as a jokingly “second choice.” After repeating the comment, she adjusted and got right to business to drive the show. But the panelist couldn’t help but chuckle over Joy’s advanced apology.
Whoopi Jets Off For A Change Of Scenery
Additionally, there were several other days, that Joy Behar jokingly gave her advanced apology of “I’m sorry” with the idea that people would just have to accept she was there to do the job in Whoopi Goldberg’s absence. While Joy didn’t say exactly where Whoopi was, on January 21, she mentioned she had a “prior work engagement.” On Whoopi’s Instagram, she seems to be enjoying the change of scenery by skipping over to Paris, France for a fashion show getaway. In multiple Instagram Stories, she has shared parts of her experience with The AMI Alexandre Mattiussi collection’s fashion show.
Furthermore, Whoopi Goldberg also let The View in on her visit to Notre Dame Cathedral as well. She gave a tour of the renovations after the destructive fire. With Whoopi taking time away for other work like her big role in Annie, Joy Behar doesn’t mind jumping in the moderator position. Although she apologizes, she wants people to know she isn’t going anywhere.
