Things Heat Up On ‘Survivor 46’ When Castaway Catches On Fire

TV Shows

Survivor 46 has seen some big moments during the game so far this season, but there was one moment that happened that put one castaway’s life in danger. This castaway was Venus Vafa and she ended up catching on fire in the middle of the night.

Not only that, but Survivor caught it on video and released it as a behind-the-scenes feature.

Venus Vafa Catches On Fire On Survivor 46

Venus Vafa was part of a big move on Survivor last week. She worked with Kenzie Petty and Maria Gonzalez pulled one over on Tiffany Nicole Ervin when they blindsided her. When she saw her name on the parchment, she said she was shocked at what happened.

“When they say blindside, they literally mean blindside,” Tiffany said (via EW). “I was not ready for that at all, but it was almost like an immediate shock.” As a result, she went home holding the Beware Advantage immunity idol in her pocket. However, it looked like karma came back to strike Venus after the move.

In a video released by Survivor 46, Venus explained what happened when she caught on fire in the middle of the night. Venus said that she is the one who usually takes care of the fire and keeps it going because she is always cold when they are sleeping at night.

“I’m always right next to it because I’m so cold and I curl right next to it in a little ball,” she said in the video. “I fell a little bit too much into deep sleep because as I’m sleeping, I’m feeling hotter and hotter. I’m like, what is going on? I turn around and I’m like, oh my God that’s a big flame. Oh my God, the flame is on me.”

Venus Claims She Almost ‘Died’

Venus, a 24-year-old data analyst from Toronto, Canada, said that she almost died. She added that she had her coat and was patting it on the ground trying to get the fire out. Furthermore, she kept burning her hand but kept patting the coat into the dirt until it was out. The problem is that something else was on fire.

Venus was on fire. She looked back and saw that she was smoking from her back and her clothing had caught on fire too. She said, “Okay, I guess this is how I go out. I’m at peace with that at this point.” Venus showed off the coat in the video and showed a giant hole burned through it.

Shen then joked that the coat wasn’t hers, it was Mo’s. “Sorry, girl. I’ll buy you a new one,” she said, as she admitted that she almost burned herself to death.
