Today With Jenna & Sheinelle Asked Both Teachers & Their Loved Ones To Apply On Their Behalf With Their Latest Makeover Announcement
Sheinelle Jones joined Jenna Bush Hager as a co-host on Today‘s fourth hour earlier this year. Since then, the hour was rebranded as Today with Jenna & Sheinelle.
During this hour, the two co-hosts address all sorts of lifestyle topics and speak with guests. However, they’ve also used their platform to reach out and help people. While this often comes in the form of advice, they have also taken a more direct approach at times.
Recently, it’s been announced that they want to help give a deserving teacher a total makeover. This will include “a hair refresh and a style upgrade,” with the help of their “all-star team of stylists.”
Applicants are encouraged to apply for the contest on the Today website. While people can nominate a teacher in their life, teachers themselves are also encouraged to apply. In fact, the first question is whether someone is asking for a makeover for themselves or a teacher they know.
It Appears That Applicants Have To Live In One Of Three States To Apply
If applicants are nominating a teacher, they are asked to share what makes them “extraordinary.” They are also asked to share why they feel they need a new hairstyle or a style upgrade.
When an applicant is a teacher, they are asked to share what it’s like working as a teacher, as well as explain their usual style. Either way, applicants are asked to upload photos.
From the list, however, there is at least one caveat when it comes to applicants. It seems they must live in one of three states: New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
Fans of Today are no strangers to the program’s pop-up makeover segments, with them watching similar transformations on the show over the years. Since this recent contest was announced, fans have also been sharing their reactions on social media, with a few suggesting other ways to help teachers, like teaching assistants and supplies.

Others are excited to see the makeover segment return, although such makeovers aren’t necessarily exclusive to the fourth hour. In fact, Today even gave a teacher a surprise makeover last year during The Upside. As one fan noted, “The ambush makeovers were some of the best segments when Hoda & Kathy Lee did the show.”
