Travis Barker’s Daughter Warned Him Before Fatal Plane Crash
Travis Barker was traveling from a performance in South Carolina in 2008 when the plane he was on crashed, killing four of the six passengers. The two pilots were killed, along with the drummer’s assistant, Chris Baker, and bodyguard, Charles Still. Travis Barker’s close friend and fellow musician, DJ AM was also on the flight.
They survived the crash but DJ AM died from a drug overdose less than a year later. Travis Barker has been open about his survivor’s guilt and fear of flying. He never wanted to get on the plane in the first place.
He was recently a guest on the On Purpose With Jay Shetty podcast and shared harrowing details about the crash. The charter plane was booked at the last minute. Travis Barker revealed that he called his father in a panic before getting on the flight. However, his dad reassured him.
Looking back, Travis Barker recalled his daughter Alabama’s eerie reaction before he left for the performance. Then 2, she cried and warned him that “the roof’s gonna come off.”
