Before Unexpected, Falen Vaughn and her husband, Kris, had split up. They parted ways in 2015 after 11 years of marriage, but reconciled not long after. During their time apart, there were significant financial troubles. There was a bankruptcy and a foreclosure, but they seem to be doing okay ever since, just buying new land. When their daughter, Bella, was 14, she got pregnant by her boyfriend, Hunter, 12. They were 15 and 13 when their son, Wes, was born, and were showering together just days later. Bella even had a pregnancy scare within weeks of having a C-section because she did not want birth control.
Fans immediately slammed her mother, Falen, for allowing such behavior in her home. It was as if she wanted Bella to have more babies so she could pretend they were hers. Now, Falen has made a new TikTok, and she encouraged Bella to set the record straight on misconceptions about her. However, fans felt that Bella did not want to do the video and was being forced. She told her daughter to address the comments, and Bella was immediately nervous. One person said this of Falen:

Another noted that Bella is Falen’s “cash cow.” This could be why she would not have been made if she were to be pregnant again, because that would have meant another season of Unexpected. As aforementioned, Kris and Falen did just buy a whole new lot of land after Season 7 began.

For years, Mama June paraded around her daughter, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson. She took her to pageants, and they appeared on Toddlers & Tiaras. This led to them getting Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and securing a home and a good life, until Mama June blew the cash. She allegedly looked at Alana as her “cash cow,” and some believe that is how Falen sees Bella. Bella became the controversial star of Unexpected, and they have not stopped, even though the season is over.
