Netflix has just confirmed another licensed K-drama series is soon to be hitting its library with all 16 episodes of the military legal drama series Military Prosecutor Doberman set to arrive towards the end of April 2024.
Also known as Gungeomsa Dobeleuman, the South Korean series first aired on tvN back in 2022 and comes from writer Yoon Hyun-mo and director Jin Chang-gyu.
Ahn Bo-hyun (best known for the Netflix Original series Itaewon Class) headlines the series as Captain Do Bae-man alongside Jo Bo-ah (best known for My Strange Hero and Netflix’s Destined With You).
The plot of the series centers on good vs. evil within military ranks. The story mostly centers around Do Bae Man, a military prosecutor whose early instincts of being driven by money come to a head when his path crosses with Cha Woo In, a rookie prosecutor whose wealth and connections mask her true talent and fearless dedication to fighting corruption.
The series was critically acclaimed when it was released two years ago, and it currently holds high audience scores, too. On Viki, the series holds an impressive 9.5/10 rating is also positive, with it currently holding a 7.7/10.
Pierce Conran for the South China Morning Post said that although much of the series was “meandering”, it “finishes strongly” adding, “the downfall of the main villain makes for a very satisfying ending to a series that kept improving.”
Multiple regions of Netflix are due to get the series, including Netflix in the United States and Netflix in the United Kingdom. You can search for the title to see whether it’s arriving in your region or use the Netflix ID 81618666.
Until now, the only way to watch the series is through Rakuten’s Viki streaming service, home to many Asian-produced shows, including many K-dramas unavailable to Netflix, according to JustWatch.
