The CW has canceled Walker Independence after one season. The move follows the renewal of the mothership series Walker earlier today. The network is transitioning to a new business model of lower-cost scripted programming in pursuit of profitability. Starring Matt Barr and Katherine McNamara, the prequel was set in the late 1800s and followed an affluent Bostonian seeking vengeance for her husband’s murder.
