Hannah Harper may be busy touring this summer, but that’s not stopping her from working hard on new music. She previously dropped the studio version and music video for her American Idol finale song “Married Into This Town,” and is now teasing another new release.
On September 4, Harper will be putting out her next song, “Hold Your Horses.” She teased the news in an Instagram post, along with background music from the track and a video snippet. “Saddle up, y’all… ‘Hold Your Horses’ is coming real soon,” she captioned the post.
Like the “Married Into This Town” video, this one also features Harper’s husband, Devon Mendenhall. The clip shows her him walking toward her before taking her hand and twirling her around in a dance.
While keeping up with the demands of her newfound fame, Harper is also dedicated to her family, including her and Mendenhall’s three young children. She recently shared another Instagram video that said, “17 missed calls, 130 unread emails, 50 messages. Me:,” and then a video of her snuggling one of her kids.
“Sorry I cannot hear you I’m kinda busy,” Harper captioned the clip, making it clear that she’s prioritizing both family and her career. Earlier this summer, she debuted her brand-new tour bus online, confirming that it’s equipped for the kids to join her on the road.
Harper’s tour will continue into the fall, so things don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. “I’m going to try to keep the fire going as long as I can,” she previously told TV Insider.
However, she’ll be taking what she learned from her experience on American Idol into her career. “I walked into the competition feeling small and towards the end I stood taller, not because of my ability necessarily, but knowing that there’s a crowd of people who want to hear what I have to say,” she shared. “That’s a great feeling.”
