News has come out that Bachelor Nation alum Melissa Rycroft was recently arrested over a DWI. This comes out just months after pleading guilty to a 2025 DWI incident. The stipulations the reality star was facing since her previous legal issues might significantly impact things moving forward.
Melissa Rycroft’s Second DWI Arrest Was Confirmed By Tarrant County Jail Records
Rycroft gained national attention as a bachelorette on Season 13 of The Bachelor. In addition, she was also part of the CMT reality series, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team, having previously been a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.
Reality show fans later saw her take part in the eighth and fifteenth seasons of Dancing with the Stars. She has also served as a host on Bachelor Pad and starred in her own CMT reality show, Melissa & Tye, with her husband, Tye Strickland.
According to TMZ, Rycroft was recently charged with her second DWI. This also takes place just months after pleading to her first.
Reportedly, the reality star was charged with “driving while intoxicated, driving while license was invalid with a prior conviction or suspension without financial responsibility, and collision causing damage to a vehicle under $200.” She was arrested and book on Sunday, as shared by Tarrant County jail records.
Previously, Rycroft was sentenced for her 2025 DWI back in August. At the time, she received 20 months of probation. She was also given an order to pay around $2,000 in fines and court costs.
The Bachelor Star Wasn’t Allowed To Use Drugs While On Probation As Part Of Her Previous Plea Deal
Rycroft was also ordered to complete a DWI education course and undergo a substance abuse evaluation. She was also ordered to 36 hours of community service.
This previous plea deal also stated that Rycroft wasn’t allowed to drink or use drugs while on probation. Thanks to this, the outlet noted that it is likely she will face further penalties following this recent news.

According to Us Weekly, Rycroft alluded to the previous incident on social media at the time, sharing, “Life really sucks right now and I’m struggling. But I’m trying to march forward.” The outlet noted that the following month, Rycroft was also charged with a misdemeanor for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and for having an alcohol concentration level of “0.15 or more at the time” after a blood analysis was performed.
