Sara Gore Is Known For Her Work With NBC Shows, Including Open House & New York Live
Gore is a media personality known for her work as a lifestyle host for NBC. Over the years, she has made appearances on The Today Show, The Martha Stewart Show, and various Food Network programs.
Gore is also the host of NBC’s real estate and design show, Open House. She also hosts New York Live.

Back in March, the NBC host was diagnosed with breast cancer. After undergoing a double mastectomy and breast reconstruction, she was declared cancer-free.
Speaking with People, Gore mused that she had anticipated a breast cancer diagnosis, noting that her mother and sister have also dealt with this. However, even after being declared cancer-free, she shared that she doesn’t think the story is over yet.
Gore noted, “It’s like this thing kind of hits you in the face. And even though I had been prepared for it, so to speak, I was not prepared for it at all. My heart kind of dropped.”
Following The Double Mastectomy, Gore Endured Nerve Pains, Impacted Motion, & A New ‘Low’ Point
As Gore continued, “I ultimately went for the double mastectomy. And when they sent back the pathology, they found out that it hadn’t spread to the lymph nodes and we caught it early, which was a godsend. But it was also in the other breast. So, if I had only done the one, I would’ve been back in the same situation. And I know that everybody’s gonna have a different journey, but for me, that confirmed for me that I did the right thing.” She mused, “I’m so glad that they’re gone now.”
The procedure, however, left her with nerve pain, limited motion, and emotional toil. Gore shared, “I hit a low and started getting really depressed. I was in so much pain and I think I started having a little bit of a pity party and I was stuck in my own rut.”

However, Gore found the support she needed from her friends and family. She shared, “I was feeling so alone and it’s so easy to forget to tap into that source of love and support and kindness. You can’t do any of this stuff alone.”
