Ben and Erin Napier traveled from Mississippi to the East Coast for their latest summer adventure with their two kids.
In a Saturday, August 1, Instagram post, Ben revealed that he, Erin, and their two daughters, Helen and Mae, recently visited Boston to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. “Boston on 35mm for the 250th,” the Home Town star wrote alongside vacation photos they snapped. “A special trip to a special place. We took our little women and made way for ducklings, saw the sights, did the tours, went to Harvard, watched fireworks, and went where everybody knows your name.”
Ben’s photos included snaps of the family visiting Massachusetts landmarks such as Boston’s Old State House and Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House, as well as pics of the group taking a boat ride in Boston Harbor and watching Fourth of July fireworks together. Many photos featured Helen and Mae, but, as he and Erin always do, Ben did not feature their faces in the snaps.
Fans gushed over the family’s Boston trip, as well as shared their own travel memories, in the post’s comments. “Many Massachusetts natives don’t appreciate what we have……there’s so much history here. It’s a must for everyone to experience Boston at least once in your life. Don’t forget Fenway Park! It’s a historic gem,” one user wrote. Another added, “So glad you enjoyed my hometown! Did you ride the swan boats? One of my cherished childhood memories was always riding on the last day of school.”
Complimenting Ben’s photography, someone else said, “Man these photos have me in such an 80’s feel, like looking at my own photos from 30 and 40 years ago.” A different person posted, “Perfect time to visit. June and July were magical in Boston this year. The perfect trifecta of world cup, 250th and Tall Ships!” A separate commenter stated, “Welcome to Massachusetts!!! Have a great time in our beautiful state! One day my husband and I hope to head to Laurel!”
Erin, for her part, has also given fans a glimpse into the family’s summer activities via Instagram. “Summer 2026: Beaches and Boston and Big Ben and bell peppers,” she captioned a July 25 slideshow featuring more photos from the Boston trip, as well as snaps of the family enjoying time at home in Laurel, Mississippi.
In a Saturday Instagram post of her own, Erin revealed that production on Season 11 of HGTV‘s Home Town is currently underway. “When is more Home Town coming? Soon! We just came back to filming from our summer break,” she wrote. “This is a typical day during filming, which runs year round. We have an incredible sitter who is with the girls when we are at work (she was my favorite babysitter when she was a teenager) and my parents fill in too. I love to hear about people’s routines. Do you?”
