Ryan Seacrest Changed Diet, Exercise At 50
Ryan Seacrest was 27 when he landed a role co-hosting American Idol. He became the sole host after Brian Dunkleman left after the first season. Not only does Ryan Seacrest still host the singing competition, he’s also the host of Wheel of Fortune, ABC’s New Year’s Eve coverage, and two radio shows.
His schedule is booked and busy, leaving him little time to exercise and eat right. But that changed when he turned 50 a few years ago. Ryan Seacrest opened up about how a change in his diet and fitness routine had him feeling like he was in his 20s.
“I’m doing everything I can to make myself feel like I’m not 50,” he told Entertainment Tonight in October 2024, two months before his milestone birthday. “I’m over-exercising, eating better, over-training.”
Ryan Seacrest overhauled his diet, started cold-plunging, and exercised more. But some fans think he went too far in losing weight. There’s also been speculation that he uses Ozempic after his face became shockingly gaunt.

Season 7 of the spinoff premiered last week. Actress Gillian Jacobs, singer/songwriter Omarion, and comedian/actor Matt Iseman kicked off the start of the new season. Other celebrities competing for their charity this season include singer Lisa Loeb, Cedric the Entertainer, and film director Kevin Smith. The show airs on Fridays on ABC.
