Rosie O’Donnell Talked About Her Friendship With Wynonna Judd During A Podcast Appearance
Judd is a country music singer. She initially rose to fame alongside her mother, Naomi, as part of The Judds. Wynonna then pursued a solo career following the duo disbanding in 1991. Back in 2022, she was also inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame through her work as a member of The Judds.
In addition, Judd is known for her friendship with comedian and former co-host of The View, Rosie O’Donnell, over the years. Notably, she often appeared as a guest on The Rosie O’Donnell Show.
Recently, Judd found herself the subject of a conversation involving O’Donnell. At the time, O’Donnell discussed their friendship during an August appearance on “The Tangle with Kyle Ridley” podcast, where she made a few claims about Judd’s political leanings.
O’Donnell is known to be a vocal critic of President Donald Trump, having criticized him on The View even before his political career. Despite this, she shared that Judd was the only Trump supporter, as she claimed Judd was, that she maintained a friendship with. At the time, she shared, “I am friends with Wynonna Judd, who I love very much, and I’ve known her for many, many years. And she is a supporter of Trump. And somehow, we never bring it up.”

O’Donnell then explained, “I kind of give her a grace in a way. She’s had so much in her life, with her mom taking her own life, and just the complicated nature of her upbringing. And I really love her and I care about her and for some reason I’m able to put that aside when we interact.”
However, in a conversation with People, Judd spoke out about the comments. As she emphasized, “I’m in shock, just so you know. I’ve never spoken to her about politics in my life … She doesn’t know anything about my stuff. I’m an independent.”

Judd continued, “I don’t know where it came [from]. It’s complete assumption. I heard it and I went, ‘What the …?’” She continued, “I don’t ever remember talking to her about this, so she’s just assuming.’”
Despite this, Judd maintained that she wasn’t “angry.” She expressed, “I just don’t want drama. So, if there’s going to be drama [about it], I’m like, ‘Oh for crap’s sake. There’s so much going on right now in the world. Can we just love each other?’”
