Former Counting On stars John and Abbie Duggar have officially broken their silence on their recent plane crash. Information about the crash has been circulating, but until now, the family hasn’t said anything about it.
In case you missed the news, an anonymous source spoke with blogger and YouTuber Katie Joy of Without a Crystal Ball. They revealed a few details about a plane crash involving John, Abbie, and their toddler daughter, Gracie. Though the crash happened in October, fans just recently found out about it. Abbie was reportedly “shaken up” by the crash and is uncertain about riding in a plane flown by John again.
From what’s been revealed, it sounds like John and Abbie Duggar had to make an emergency landing due to low fuel in the plane. John allegedly stated that the plane’s fuel gauge was not functioning properly. So, he believed there was more fuel in the plane than there actually was.
When the news of the plane crash went public, it was reported that John, Abbie, and Grace had not sustained any injuries. So, fans were glad to hear that news. However, now fans have an opportunity to hear directly from the family about what happened.
John & Abbie Duggar speak out about ‘scary’ plane crash.
In a statement to Celebuzz, John and Abbie Duggar provided an update following the crash. They said:
“An emergency landing or any kind of plane crash is a scary thing, but it’s exactly what pilots are trained for. We are so thankful for God’s protection, as we all walked away without injuries when this happened last October. We so appreciate the love and care so many have expressed toward us!”
On social media, John and Abbie shared a photo and encouraged fans to head to the link in their bio to read the statement they released.
