Dee Snider Talked About Ozzy Osbourne While Recently Responding To A Fan Comment
Kelly is the daughter of late musician Ozzy and television personality Sharon Osbourne. Tragically, Ozzy passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76.
Many were introduced to Kelly through her family’s MTV reality series, The Osbournes. Following this, Kelly has appeared in a number of shows, including Fashion Police, Dancing with the Stars, and Australia’s Got Talent.
Recently, Ozzy became a topic of discussion on social media after Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider weighed in on his songwriting history on X. Responding to fans, Snider claimed the rocker “always had bass players write his lyrics” and that Geezer Butler “wrote ALL of Black Sabbath lyrics.”

Snider also shared, “Daisley wrote lyrics for the first two solo albums (I’m pretty sure he was paid to write on other records but not credited) & Lemmy wrote lyrics.” This was in reference to Bob Daisley and Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister.
In a series on Instagram Stories, Kelly defended her father’s work, writing, “My father’s legacy as a musician, songwriter, singer and bandleader speaks for itself. His friends, those who worked with him, those who love him, and millions of fans around the world that still continue to buy his records know exactly what he meant, what he contributed and what he leaves behind.” She expressed, “His legacy will live on eternally.”

As the post continued, Kelly began to address Snider more directly. As she opened up, “Your last hit…not to age myself, was the year I was born 40 years ago.” Calling his remarks “spectacularly classless,” she added, “If Snider wants to invite comparisons between their careers, that comparison is devastating enough on its own.”
Since Kelly’s post, Snider himself later responded on X. At the time, he claimed that he didn’t mean to disrespect Ozzy. Describing him both personally and professionally, he wrote, “To be clear, I HAVE NOTHING BUT LOVE FOR OZZY. He was always lovely to me. @BlackSabbath changed my life! As a songwriter I can be a little touchy about credit and royalties.”
