Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s 15-year-old son remains locked up amid shocking sexual assault allegations. Kroy “K.J.” Biermann Jr. was arrested in mid-August for an alleged incident that happened in April. He’s been charged with seven felonies related to the alleged assault. Kim Zolciak Strongly Denied Allegations Against Son
Kim Zolciak shares six children with her estranged husband Kroy Biermann. The former NFL player adopted her two oldest daughters, and then they had Kroy Jr., 15, Kash, 14, and twins Kaia and Kane, 12. The Don’t Be Tardy stars split in 2023 and are still battling it out in court over custody.
Their oldest son, Kroy Jr., was arrested on August 17 amid sexual assault allegations. One of his female classmates reported to the police that Kroy Jr. assaulted her in April. He was arrested after a lengthy investigation. A grand jury came back with seven felony sodomy and sexual battery charges.
The details of the alleged incident are disturbing. However, Kim Zolciak immediately declared her son’s innocence. “The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling. He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged,” she said in a statement.
But despite her denials, the grand jury saw enough evidence to issue an indictment on seven very serious charges.
RHOA Alum Forced To Follow Strict Rules To Visit Jailed Son
Kroy Biermann Jr. has been held at Atlanta’s Metro Regional Youth Detention Center since his arrest. Despite the detention center’s cushy accommodations, the rules are strict for visitation.
Television and movies will have you believe that jails and detention centers allow visitors at all hours of the day and night. But that’s just not true. According to Page Six, Metro Regional Youth Detention Center allows detainees at least two visits a week, but at least one of the visits has to be on a Saturday or Sunday. Video visits are an option if a trip to the detention center isn’t possible.
Visitors at the detention center and most jails are subjected to multiple security screenings and must abide by a strict dress code. “Thin straps, tube, tank or halter tops, sheer or transparent fabrics, bare midriffs, and any shorts, skirts or ripped pants that sit above the knee” are banned.
Detainees, including Kroy Biermann Jr., are frisked before each visit and strip-searched afterward to make sure they don’t have any contraband. No wonder he’s begging to be released on bond.
