Kyle Richards Supports Morgan Wade Amid Double Mastectomy
Breast health is so important to Kyle Richards because her mother passed away from breast cancer. She has stated that she did not get a mammogram for several years. Had she had one done earlier, everything may have been different. As for Kyle’s dear friend and rumored lover, Morgan Wade, she underwent a double mastectomy. According to People, she opted for this preventive procedure in November 2023 as she has the RAD51D gene mutation. Up until now, the country singer has chosen not to discuss what has been going on with her health. However, she is now feeling more comfortable opening up about what she went through.
In an Instagram post, Morgan showed herself post-surgery, wrapped up, with drains. Then, there is another photo of her in a teal sports bra as she flexes, clearly recovered. In the caption, she wrote this:
“I haven’t talked much about my post surgery recovery from my double mastectomy and reconstruction I had back in November. For those that don’t know I have the rad51d gene mutation and with my family history of breast cancer I decided to be proactive. It’s been 4 months and I’ve been back to powerlifting and running. Started back to that around January. There have been a few things I haven’t been able to do until now – the last month I’ve finally been back to doing what I want.”
After sharing all of this, Morgan received immense support, including love from her close friend, Kyle Richards. She immediately wrote this: “❤💪🏼” in Morgan’s comments section as it was the singer who inspired the mother of four to start working out with Cory Gregory. This was a complete lifestyle change for Richards who not only got sober but also started a new fitness journey and completely changed her life.
No Regrets
One thing that Morgan Wade emphasized was that she has no regrets when it comes to the surgery. She does have a ways to go as she will undergo an egg retrieval and then there will be another surgery. Down the line, Kyle Richards’ bestie will have a hysterectomy and oophorectomy. Thankfully, because she is still young, there is no sense of urgency with that. It is great that she is sharing her story to inspire others to think about their health and be cautious.
