While The Kardashians have returned to screens with their Season 5 premiere, that isn’t the only thing happening in the Kardashian world. Recently, Khloe Kardashian’s ex-husband, Lamar Odom, came forward with a confession about her. Undeniably, the pair has seen many good and bad days along their journey. But Lamar gives an update on their current status.
Lamar Odom Offers Updates In A Recent Interview
Admittedly, Lamar Odom will always be connected to The Kardashians stars. As anyone in a high-profile relationship knows, the world is witnessing their life as it plays out. In Khloe Kardashian and Lamar’s case, there were some very low points in the relationship. Originally, Lamar and Khloe made each other’s acquaintance at a party she was hosting. After meeting at a club, the two dated for one month before racing down the aisle to marriage in 2009. In 2013, they called things off, but the divorce was final in 2016.
Lamar Odom Regrets His Treatment Of Khloe Kardashian
Admittedly, Lamar Odom recognizes the breakup came after his substance abuse became uncontrollable. While he has previously apologized for his treatment of his ex-wife, he still feels deep regret. In 2019, he told People, “I wish I could have been more of a man. It still bothers me to this day. But regret is something we have to learn to live with.” Amid his addiction, he was also cheating on Khloe with multiple women. Additionally, he states in his memoir, Darkness to Light, “For a while, being with her was bliss and I was the happiest I’ve ever been.”
Furthermore, he says, “We were one of the most famous couples in Hollywood and we made more money together than we had individually.” But it didn’t last. He confesses, “At the start of the marriage, I was faithful to her. But I could not handle the lethal cocktail of the spotlight, addiction, a diminishing career, and infidelity.”
Even though she filed for divorce in December 2013, when Lamar overdosed at a brothel in California, she stood by his side. At that time, she withdrew the divorce to assist with making medical decisions on his behalf until he was able to do so on his own again. Once he was nursed back to health, they proceeded with the divorce and it was final in 2016. Although their marriage came to an end in 2016 after a long separation, Lamar gave fans several updates on life as he knows it now. In an episode of The Breakfast Club, the former NBA player took time to answer a few questions about what is happening in his daily life. However, during the interview, there was a question about his relationship with Khloe.
How Are Things Going With Khloe Kardashian?
During the podcast The Breakfast Club, co-host DJ Envy shoots a hot topic in Lamar Odom’s direction. He says, “What do you miss more, the NBA or Khloe Kardashian?” Chuckling at DJ Envy’s tricky question, Lamar thinks and answers. He replies, “Khloe Kardashian. I miss my wife more.” After Lamar’s answer, DJ Envy leads into a few follow-up questions: “Have you spoken since? Do you have a good relationship?” Even though he sadly says, “No,” he talks a little about where their relationship is currently. He adds, “Sometimes I’ll go through a DM and say what’s up or whatever.” After which, DJ Envy asks, “Does she respond?” Then, Lamar replies, “Yeah of course.”
